Multicultural Night - November 2023

The Parent Teacher Association, or PTA for short, has five primary objectives, outlined in our bylaws:

1. Develop parent leadership and build capacity for greater involvement

2. Foster and encourage parent participation on all levels

3. Develop a cooperative working relationship between the parents and staff of our school

4. Provide opportunities for training for parents to participate in school governance and decision-making

5. Provide support and resources to the school for the benefit and educational growth of the students

The PTA holds monthly meetings that are open to all general members of the PTA. If you are the parent/guardian of a student currently attending PS398Q then you are already a member of the PTA and welcome to join meetings. If you need the meeting details you can get them from your child's teacher.

At the monthly meetings you can learn all about the upcoming events that the PTA is looking to hold, and opportunities to volunteer your time to either help out at an event, serve on an event or standing committee, or donate baked goods to our next fundraiser.

The major events we hold every school year are:

• Fall Festival Bake Sale (in conjunction with the school staff)

• Costume Ball

• Multicultural Night

• Holiday Bake Sale

• Friendship Grams

• Spring Festival

• Special Someone Dance

• Last Day of School Ice Cream Party
